The Joshua Creek Cemetery is a place where we can reflect and honor our departed loved ones. In order to keep the cemetery in the best shape possible, the cemetery would like to provide all new and existing lot/space owners with a guideline of information to help maintain the cemetery.
Should you have any questions, or concerns, please feel free to send us an email or give us a call and we will answer all the questions you may have.
Interments (Burials)
· Please have the cemetery notified (by you or the funeral home) of any interments. This helps to keep or records accurate.
· No more than 4 interments of ashes may be made in any one grave space.
Monuments, Headstones & Markers
In the event that the owner would like to erect a curbing around lots or grave spaces, it cannot be over 4 Inches above the natural ground level. Curbing shall be reinforced with steel rods. Curbing to put in by a person qualified to do the work. No fences around lots or grave spaces. Headstones shall not be over 4 feet high and 6 feet long.
Maintenance of Lots and Grave Sites
Maintenance of lots and grave sites are the responsibility of the owners. The cemetery is responsible for mowing of the road right-of-ways. Occasionally the entire cemetery will get mowed, but it is ultimately the owner’s responsibility to keep their property maintained.
Disposal of debris and rubbish
· There is a designated area for all dead plants, old decorations, dead limbs, and any other litter that may be found on the cemetery grounds. It is located in the West side of the cemetery, in the northern area. This is marked by a billboard sign for ease of locating the area.
